PILSEN — The neighborhood is invited to scope out Pilsen's new Bow Truss coffee shop, which will host the North Side coffee roaster's second birthday party Friday in advance of officially opening to the public next month.

Bow Truss, which announced plans for a Pilsen location in March, already has coffee shops in River North and Lakeview.

Owner Phil Tadros has said the new 650 square-foot shop will be similar to the other two. The focus will be solely on coffee and espresso and no food will be served.

The shop at 1641 W. 18th St. should be open by mid-July, Tadros said.

Those interested in checking out the shop — and celebrating with free Aquanaut beer — should head over to the Pilsen location Friday at 7 p.m.
