NEAR WEST SIDE — A neighborhood group will hold a community meeting Tuesday to further discussion around several neighborhood topics, including the UIC Newman Center's proposed college dormitory and the future of mixed-housing development, Roosevelt Square.

Connecting4Communities will hold the meeting at the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame, 1431 W. Taylor St., Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m.

UIC Great Cities Institute's Director Dr. Teresa Cordova will also be on hand to discuss a variety of community development issues. In addition, the community group will also discuss plans for the Ashland Bus Rapid Transit project, part of an initiative by the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP).
