LOGAN SQUARE — Service between the Blue Line's Logan Station and Western Station will be shut down this weekend as the CTA continues to work on its $492 million remake of the O'Hare branch.

Trains between Logan and Western stations will stop at 10 p.m. Friday and will remain out of service through 4 a.m. Monday, according to the agency.

The stations will be reopened in time for the Monday rush hour.

All three affected stations — Logan, California and Western — will be open during the rail work, and shuttle buses will be running to pick up and drop passengers at all three stations.

The CTA will also provide free transfers back into "L" stations for affected passengers.

Also Friday, the CTA provided a first look at the improvements planned for the Damen, Western and California stations as part of the Blue Line project.
