RIVER NORTH — A new wine bar coming to River North this summer boasts an off-beat wine list of bottles sourced from small vineyards, but promises to be "anything but pretentious," according to the team behind it.

Felipe Ospina, spearheading the project for Roka Akor and Bombay Spice Grill's umbrella group JNK Concepts, said Enolo wine bar at 420 N. Clark St. will have a "warm and inviting culture."

"Everyone from wine experts to those trying it for the first time will feel welcome here," Ospina said.

Lizzie Schiffman chats about where the new place will be opening and how soon:

The small, 64-seat restaurant at 450 N. Clark St. will offer lighter Italian fare like bruschetta, cheese and charcuterie boards, and paninis, pasta and pizza, all paired with any of the 25 bottles on its wine list available by the glass, bottle or flight.

Also on tap are 17 local and international craft beers and cocktails. Customers can also buy wine bottles to go.

Enolo will open June 13 in the former Bombay Spice storefront in River North.
