LAKEVIEW — Short-lived restaurant City Dough suddenly papered up its windows two weeks ago, but the alderman's office says ownership will be presenting new plans to neighbors in the future.

Owners of City Dough, which opened in October at 2955 N. Sheffield Ave., said they would inform Ald. Tom Tunney's (44th) office when they had a fresh plan to divulge, said Erin Duffy, the alderman's directory of community relations.

They will be presenting to Central Lakeview Neighbors once ready, Duffy said. They did not provide a timeline.

Multiple calls to City Dough's owner were not returned.

The restaurant opened in the large former Pompeii space at Wellington and Sheffield in the fall, including a walk-up window with coffee and doughnuts for commuters.
