WEST LOOP — Three Chicago artists will lead a tour of their Bucktown studios and discuss their work as part of an event organized by the West Loop's Chicago Artists Coalition.

Artists Jenny Kendler, Stacia Yeapanis and Meg Leary will take participants on a tour of their Bucktown studios, near Grand and Damen, from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.

Kendler, the first artist-in-residence with the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), a nonprofit environmental organization, was also voted New City’s best dressed artist. Her work is currently featured in “Rare Nature: The Endangered Species Print Project” at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum.

Yeapanis is an interdisciplinary artist and writer, as well as an instructor in the Department of Fiber and Material Studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. A solo show of her work, “Everything You Need Is Already Here,” was recently on view at Wicker Park’s Heaven Gallery.

Leary, a classical vocalist, creates visual and performative works with materials including cassette tape and vinyl records.

Tickets are $20 and free for members of Chartwell Collectors Circle, the group who organized the event within Chicago Artists Coalition. For more information or to make reservations, visit the group's website or email alexis@chicagoartistscoalition.org.
