CHICAGO — Summer almost feels like a possibility now that the Do-Division Street Fest & Sidewalk Sale has released the first wave of bands and DJs playing two stages in late May.

The lineup tease for the eighth annual fest includes metal band High On Fire, rock band Screaming Females, local indie soul band JC Brooks & The Uptown Sound, guitarist J Mascis, singer-songwriter JD McPherson and more.

The rest of the scheduled acts will be released closer to the date of the event.

The fest takes place May 30-June 1 along Division Street from Ashland Avenue to Leavitt Street and includes music programming from Empty Bottle and Subterranean, food from local restaurants, a Family Fun Fest on that Saturday and Sunday, The Sidewalk Sale and Do-Fashion, which features pop-up shops from local designers.

There's a $5 suggested donation to benefit the West Town Chamber of Commerce.
