CHICAGO — A man who jumped in the Chicago River to save his dog Sunday needed a little help of his own.

Fire officials responded to a call of a person in the river at about 3:30 p.m., near Sacramento Avenue.

Rescue crews were able to get the man and his dog out of the river. Both were OK, said Larry Langford, a fire department spokesman.
