PILSEN — Dusek’s Beer and Board, the new restaurant and bar from Empty Bottle owner Bruce Finkelman, officially opened for business at Thalia Hall this week.

The restaurant, at 1227 W. 18th St., opened Thursday, according to Dusek’s Facebook page.

Finkelman, who also co-owns Logan Square’s Longman & Eagle, has Longman chef Jared Wentworth as the man behind the menu and Longman manager Will Duncan as master of all things cocktails.

The menu's "By Land and Air,” section includes crispy pig tails ($12) and the Grilled Juicy Lucy burger ($14) and the “By Sea” section features grilled sardines and wood roasted monkfish ($12 and $16) and lots of oysters.

Dusek’s joins reclaimed furniture shop Modern Cooperative, which opened Sept. 13 at 1215 W. 18th St. and health food shop Belli’s, which has yet to open next door. Finkelman — who wants to have Thalia’s theater ready as a concert space before 2014 — said he’s still working out final details of the third retailer.
