Police Warn of Burglars Smashing Windows of Near West Side Businesses

CHICAGO — Police alerted Near West Side businesses about a series of smash-and-grab burglaries in the neighborhood this month.

Police gave no information about the burglars other than that they smashed windows before running off with property from buildings.

Businesses in the 2400 block of West Fulton Street were hit on Sept. 2, 6 and 8.

Property was taken from buildings in the 2500 block of West Lake Street on Thursday and Friday.
