CHICAGO — Two men were wounded in shootings Thursday, police said.

A man was shot in the face about 4:42 p.m. in the 2700 block of West 24th Street in Little Village, said Offier Daniel O'Brien, police spokesman.

The man, whose age was unknown, was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in critical condition.

Earlier Thursday, a 23-year-old man was shot in Austin.

The shooting occurred in the 400 block of North Lavergne Avenue about 12:20 p.m., said Officer Jose Estrada, a police spokesman.

The man was shot in the buttocks and taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in good condition, Estrada said.
