PILSEN — The front part of a 100-year-old residential building collapsed early Wednesday morning, with no injuries reported, Chicago Fire Department officials said.
At about 1:50 a.m., the front wall of the building at 1161 W. 19th St. came sliding down. The front had an air conditioning unit attached to it.
While the building has been declared structurally sound, the occupants will be relocated and building inspectors will evaluate the extent of the damage, fire officials said.
