CHICAGO — A call of a person threatening to jump from an overpass near the 47th Street Red Line Station Friday afternoon turned out to be unfounded, officials said.

Fire officials responded to the scene after 4 p.m. and found no one at 220 W. 47th Street, so returned, a fire department spokesman said. A police spokesman had no information about the incident.
