CHICAGO — A man was in critical condition after being shot in the face in South Lawndale Monday morning, police said.
The 27-year-old man was shot at 9:47 a.m. in the 2600 block of 24th Place, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police Department spokesman. The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition.
Police said they had no more details on the shooting.
