LITTLE VILLAGE — Police are warning residents to be on the lookout for four men who attempted to lure a 13-year-old girl into their car this week.

Police said four men "drinking bottles of Budweiser beer" tried to call the teenager over to their car about 3 p.m. on March 24 in Little Village.

The girl was walking to a store in the 2400 block of South Springfield Avenue when the men, described as "Hispanics in their late 20s," began "whistling and honking the horn at her," according to a police alert.

After the girl came out the store, the men continued to call for her, and a man in the front passenger seat "gestured" for her to come over to the car. The teen fled from the men, and the car headed south on Springfield Avenue towards 26th Street, according to the alert.

Police said the car was a blue, 4-door sedan with a cracked windshield and a shattered passenger side window.

Police are advising residents to be aware of their surroundings and call 911 to report any suspicious people in the neighborhood.
