NAVY PIER — Rahm Emanuel's bracket hasn't busted yet.

Before a Chicago Police Department graduation ceremony at Navy Pier Tuesday, the mayor shook the hands of several of the city's newest officers, asking them down the line who they pick to win this year's NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.

While many of the graduates backed Midwestern teams, such as the Louisville Cardinals and Ohio State Buckeyes, Emanuel was betting on a team farther south.

He has the Miami Hurricanes — which beat the Fighting Illini 63-59 on Sunday — to win it all.

"I've got Miami," Rahm told new Officer Kendra Archer, who is headed to the Police Department's Gresham District.

"I've got Louisville," Archer said.

Emanuel's choice breaks with that of his former boss, President Barack Obama, who picked the Indiana Hoosiers to win it all.

Miami plays the Marquette Golden Eagles Thursday afternoon in Washington, D.C., in the East Region semifinals.
