CHICAGO — A Douglas man died Saturday after being involved in a fight on a CTA "L" train platform, officials said.
Sanchez Mixon, 37, of the 3300 block of South Michigan Avenue, was involved in a physical fight with another man about 11:33 a.m. on the 43rd Street Green Line "L" platform, police said.
He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and was pronounced dead at 12:13 p.m., according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
Green Line trains were not stopping at the 43rd Street station because of "police activity" about noon, according to CTA service alerts. Trains resumed stops at 43rd about 3:30 p.m.
No one was in custody as of Sunday morning, police said.
