AUBURN GRESHAM — “I hear a different story every day,” said Jasmine Minter.

Her brother, Jabari Minter, was shot and killed on August 29 less than two blocks from their home in the 8000 block of South Justine Street, but details of his death have been scarce.

What she does know is that her brother’s killer was waiting for him.

"The boys he was with all saw it coming," Jasmine Minter said. "He was talking with his friends on the corner when they started shooting from the car."

The 24-year-old was hit multiple times and pronounced dead at the scene. According to his sister, he had just left the house for work.

“To lose him like this is the worst thing,” she said. “He was the best brother in the world.”

Minter leaves behind three children—two girls and one boy—ages 2, 3 and 4.

No one has been charged in his murder.
