LAWNDALE — Anthony Linnear was shot to death Feb. 12 at a party in Lawndale after having an argument, his wife said.
The 34-year-old father of five children, ages 9 to 18, loved working with his hands. He was a supervisor at an auto shop, Tyesha Linnear said.
Linnear was attending the party in the 1900 block of South Lawndale Avenue when an argument escalated, and Calvin Brooks allegedly shot Linnear in the chest and leg, witnesses said.
Brooks, 30, of the 2200 block of South Hamlin Avenue, is charged with murder, and has pleaded not guilty.
