CHICAGO — A 26-year-old man died Monday after he was shot in the neck in November, authorities said.

Michael Morgan, of the 1440 block of West 13th Street, died at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital about 8:30 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

The shooting occurred on Nov. 3 when Morgan and a female were sitting in a Buick Regal in the 1300 block of South Loomis Street at 3:25 a.m. when another vehicle pulled up next to it, said Chicago Police spokesman John Mirabelli.

A man in that car fired at the Regal, hitting Morgan in the left side of his neck. The man fled the scene. Morgan was taken to Stroger following the shooting.

No one has been arrested in the shooting.
