CHICAGO — A man was shot to death during a drive-by shooting just blocks from his home on the South Side.
Lamont Coleman, 29, was one of three men in a Jeep Cherokee in the 400 block of West 115th Street on April 12 when someone in a sedan drove up alongside them and shot into the car, the Tribune reported.
Coleman, who lived nearby, suffered several gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at Roseland Hospital, officials said.
One of the other men in Coleman's car suffered a graze wound to the head, and the other was hit in the elbow, the paper said.
Malcolm Logna, 27, was arrested for the shooting on Oct. 5 and charged with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder, the Tribune reported. He was held on a $2 million bond.
Logan's extensive record includes drug charges and prison time for aggravated battery of a police officer in 2007, the Tribune reported.
