Catholic Charities wants to build seven tiny homes for veterans near 79th Street and Emerald Avenue.

Covenant House will offer meals, showers, counseling and other services during the day.

The count will take place from 8 p.m.-2 a.m. Jan. 26, officials said.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Clerk Susana Mendoza said they are moving forward on creating the card.

A count conducted in January found a big drop in the number of people living outside of shelters.
