The community rallied Friday to oppose budget cuts that could sink Roseland Community Hospital.

"Politics is killing New Roseland Hospital," the neighborhood's biggest employer, said hospital's CEO.

The boys, both 16, were shot about 5:40 p.m. in the 13100 block of S. St. Lawrence Ave., police said.

The 19-year-old man is in critical condition after the Thursday afternoon shooting.

Jeremy Bafunsho, 19,  was fatally shot by a fellow passenger when a fight broke out in a car, cops said.

The bullet hitting the West Pullman man apparently was fired from outside his home, police said.

Police believe the shooting was drug related and took place somewhere else in the city.

Three men were killed in South Shore, and another man was gunned down in Washington Heights.

Eddie Murphy, 21, was fatally shot in his chin and ear in Humboldt Park after early Wednesday.

The house fire started about 1:40 a.m. Saturday and quickly engulfed two floors in a 3-story building.
