OLD TOWN — Tuesdays are suddenly late nights at the Chicago History Museum.
The museum announced Monday that it was extending evening hours on Tuesday from the usual weekday opening of 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Otherwise, the museum is open 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
That also extends free Tuesday admission for Illinois residents from 12:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
David Deyhle, vice president of external relations, said it was meant to "provide increased access to working adults and others who have barriers that keep them from being able to visit during daytime hours."
Otherwise, museum admission is $16 for adults, $14 for seniors 65 and older, $14 for students with an identification card and free for children 12 and younger.
