WICKER PARK — Tickets to the fourth annual Donut Fest — where some of the best bakeries in Chicago will submit their crullers, ring or long johns and compete against each other for the coveted title of "Best Donut" — are set to go on sale at noon Friday.
Scheduled for 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Jan. 29 at Chop Shop, 2033 W. North Ave., this year's fest will offer sweets from 11 doughnut makers such as defending champions Gurnee Donuts and Glazed & Infused and Stan's, according to the lineup.

Tickets are available for three sessions:
"VIP" from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. costs $50 and includes early entry, tickets to taste from all participating vendors, three coffee tickets a limited-edition Donut Fest coffee mug and a goodie bag.
"General Admission" from either 10 a.m. to noon, or noon to 2 p.m., costs $35 and includes all of the aforementioned perks, minus the early admission and coffee mug.
