COOK COUNTY CRIMINAL COURTHOUSE — A Lincoln Park man on probation for stealing packages was charged this week with stealing packages.

Julio Code, 50, was arrested last fall for swiping boxes from North Side apartment buildings. He pleaded guilty to burglary in March and was sentenced to 30 months of probation.

Prosecutors believe Code violated that probation by continuing to steal packages — this time in Bucktown in the 2000 block of West Armitage Avenue on July 18.

Code was arrested Tuesday after he was positively identified as the man seen on surveillance footage stealing multiple boxes from a building lobby, court records show.

Code, of the 2600 block of North Halsted Street, is charged with burglary.

Cook County Judge James Brown on Wednesday set bail at $25,000.
