COOK COUNTY CRIMINAL COURTHOUSE — Prosecutors have charged a Lincoln Park man with stealing packages from North Side apartment buildings.

Julio Code, 49, turned himself in Monday after police released a video of a man prying open the door of an apartment vestibule and stealing packages that were left inside, according to an arrest report.

Code is accused of burglarizing a Bucktown building in the 1800 block of North Winnebago Avenue on Oct. 11, as well as a Roscoe Village building in the 1900 block of West Diversey Parkway on Oct. 23.

Prosecutors have charged Code, of the 2600 block of North Halsted Street, with two counts of residential burglary.

Cook County Judge James Brown on Tuesday ordered Code held in lieu of $35,000 bail.
