CHICAGO — Reginald Smith, 48, was shot dead in Greater Grand Crossing Thursday night, authorities said.

At 7:33 p.m., officers found a man unresponsive in a parking lot in the 7800 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue, police said.

The man was shot multiple times and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition, police said.

Smith, of the 6600 block of South Woodlawn, was pronounced dead at 8:28 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

No arrests have been made.
