DOWNTOWN — Chicagoans will soon be able to throw darts and play ping pong all under the same Loop roof.
Flight Club, a London-based darts bar, will open in this winter above sister restaurant AceBounce Ping Pong club at 111 W. Wacker Drive, according to a press release.
It's the first American outpost for Flight Club, which promises good food and cocktails along with "modern multiplayer" dart technology.
The two-floor darts bar will have a different menu on each floor. The ground floor will have a raw seafood bar as well as salads, flatbreads and entrees, while the upper floor will focus on shareable items.
The club will offer four specially designed darts games, each centered around an oche (rhymes with hockey) including the dart board and "semi-private" dining space, the release says.
The decor will resemble the original Flight Club in London, which has a 1900s "English fairground theme," the release says. The ground floor will have a full-service dining area, while upstairs will offer floor-to-ceiling views of the Downtown riverfront.
Flight Club will open in Chicago following AceBounce's debut last year.
