CHICAGO — Shootings in Back of the Yards have left one person dead and three wounded since Friday afternoon, police said.

• At 12:29 a.m. Saturday, a 17-year-old was shot dead while driving in the neighborhood.

• At 3:10 a.m. Saturday, a 21-year-old man was walking in the 5400 block of South Damen Avenue when he was shot in the leg, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

He was taken to Holy Cross Hospital and listed in good condition, Lemmon said.

• At 11:45 p.m. Friday, two men were in a car in the 4800 block of South Elizabeth Street when someone fired shots at them, police said.

A 35-year-old man was hit in his abdomen and left ankle and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was in guarded condition, police said. A 57-year-old man was hit in his ankle and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

The 35-year-old man was a documented gang member, police said.

• At 1:50 p.m., a 26-year-old man was in the 5300 block of South May Street when he was shot in his upper body, Lemmon said.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, Lemmon said.

The man was a documented gang member, police said.

No one was in custody in these shootings.
