CHICAGO — Naome Zuber, 17, was shot dead in Back of the Yards early Saturday, police said.
At 12:29 a.m., Zuber was in the backseat of a car driving in the 4500 block of South Wood Street when a man fired shots at the car from the sidewalk, police said.
The teen was hit in her head and was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, where she was in critical condition, police said.
Zuber, of the 5400 block of South Kenneth Avenue, was pronounced dead at 12:52 a.m., according to Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records.
