LITTLE VILLAGE — A 36-year-old man was shot three times in Little Village Wednesday evening, police said.

Around 7:35 p.m., the man was standing at the corner of 28th Street and Komensky Avenue when someone shot at him from a passing black SUV, according to Officer Veejay Zala, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital after being shot once in his left arm and twice in his right leg, Zala said. Police could not provide his condition but said he was "stable."

Police said the man is a documented gang member.

No one was in custody for the shooting, Zala said.
