CHICAGO — Shootings on the South and West sides wounded 7 people since Sunday morning, according to police.

Three people were hurt in a Avalon Park shooting late Sunday morning, police said, including a 48-year-old man.

At 3 p.m. Sunday, two people were shot in a gang-related West Garfield Park attack, police said.

• Most recently, a 22-year-old man was shot in East Garfield Park, police said.

• A 28-year-old man was shot in North Lawndale late Sunday, said Officer Laura Amezaga, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was in a gangway in the 1800 block of South Springfield Avenue at 11:15 p.m. when a man came up and fired, Amezaga said.

He was struck in his thigh and calf and was able to get himself to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was not released but police considered him to be stable.

No arrests have been made in any of the cases, police said.
