CHICAGO — Two separate shootings have wounded three men near Garfield Park since Sunday, according to police.

At 3:05 a.m., a 22-year-old man was shot in his left leg while standing in the 3000 block of West Walnut Street, said Officer Laura Amezaga, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. The man was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not released but police said he was stable.

An earlier West Garfield Park shooting wounded two, police said.

A 17-year-old and a 21-year-old were shot while standing in the 4200 block of West Wilcox Street at 3 p.m. Sunday, said officer Kevin Quaid, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man and teen were standing on a front porch of a house when a man got out of a two-door car and opened fire before fleeing, Quaid said.

The 17-year-old was hit four times in his arm and three times in his torso and managed to get himself to Stroger Hospital, where he is considered to be in serious condition, Quaid said.

The 21-year-old was shot in his left arm and got himself to Loretto Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, Quaid said.

Both the teen and the man are documented gang members, police said.

No arrests have been made in either case, police said.
