CHICAGO — Three men were shot in Avalon Park late Sunday morning, according to police.

The men were standing in the 8200 block of South Woodlawn Avenue at 11:55 a.m. on Sunday when someone walked up to them and began firing, said Officer Kevin Quaid, a Chicago Police spokesman.

A 28-year-old man was shot in the left leg and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in good condition, Quaid said.

A 29-year-old man was shot in his left foot and was taken to South Shore Hospital in good condition, Quaid said. A 48-year-old man was shot in his left knee and was also taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in good condition, he said.

Police said the 28-year-old and 29-year-old are documented gang members.

No arrests have been made, Quaid said.
