WICKER PARK — Do-Division music festival has released its 2016 headliners and "first wave" music lineup, which includes Doomtree, Nikki Lane and local four-piece outfit NE-HI.
The 10th annual edition of the festival on Division Street between Ashland and Damen avenues is scheduled to take place June 3-5. The fest's hours are noon to 10 p.m.
Headliners on the East Stage (Damen/Division) programmed by Empty Bottle include Peanut Butter Wolf and J-Rocc Friday, A Place to Bury Strangers and NE-HI Saturday, and Beach Fossils and Diane Coffee Sunday.
The Friday headliners are all taking part in the Stones Throw Records 20th Anniversary. Stones Throw is a Los Angeles, Calif.-based record label that Peanut Butter Wolf founded.
On the West Stage (Damen/Leavitt), programmed by Subterranean, headliners include Nikki Lane and C.W. Stoneking Friday, Doomtree Saturday and BADBADNOTGOOD and Fruit Bats Sunday.
Spanning 10 city blocks, the weekend-long festival includes live music on two stages, local independent retailers and artisans who will offer sales and "pop-ups" plus two-blocks for a Family Fun Fest.
Set for noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, the Family Fun Fest will offer its own entertainment stage (performers TBA), pony and train rides, face painting, a bounce house, jousting and more.
A $5 suggested donation to benefit the West Town Chicago Chamber of Commerce and participating non-profits is requested for admittance to the fest, which is located on a street packed with popular restaurants, bars, salons, spas, cafes and bakeries.
