Egg Hunts, Flamenco Music: 5 Picks For A Family-Friendly Easter

LINCOLN PARK — There are several family-friendly Easter events lined up for this weekend and next in Lincoln Park and the surrounding neighborhoods.

Here are some to choose from:

Stanton Park Easter Fun Day: If you have kids 13 and under, head to Stanton Park, 618 W. Scott St., March 19 from noon-3 p.m. to celebrate Easter. There will be a fill-your-egg buffet, a magician, a bounce castle, balloons, tattoos and popcorn. The free event is put on by the Stanton Park Advisory Council thanks to support from the Oz Park Baseball Association.

Wrightwood Neighbors Association Easter Egg Hunt: Wrightwood Neighbors Association is hosting its annual egg hunt March 26 at New Life Community Church, 1110 W. Lill Ave., from 8:30-10:00 a.m. Those who come out will take a short trip to Jonquil Park around 10 a.m. for the egg hunt. There will also be a light continental breakfast and opportunities to take photos with the Easter bunny.

Old Town Triangle Association Easter Party: Both members and non-members alike are invited to Old Town Triangle Association's Easter party March 20 from 2-5 p.m. at 1763 N. North Park. There will be egg decorating, games and a flamenco guitar performance. Light refreshments will be served.

Lincoln Park Zoo's Eggstravaganza: This year's installment is set for March 26, from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. For more details, check out our previous story.

New City's Easter Activities: At least two spots within the New City shopping complex at 1500 N. Clybourn Ave. are hosting Easter activities. King's Bowl is hosting "Bowling with the Bunny" March 27 at 11 a.m. Tickets, which cost $20 for adults and $10 for kids, will get you one free game of bowling with shoe rental, a picture with the Easter bunny, tokens for hockey and foosball, golden egg prizes and pizza and soda. All of the proceeds go toward The Anti-Cruelty Society. LYFE Kitchen is hosting "Bites with the Bunny" March 26, where there will be an egg hunt and interactive storytelling, as well as arts and crafts. The event kicks off at 10 a.m. Tickets cost $5.
