LINCOLN PARK — Calling all Bernie Sanders supporters: "Bern Fest" is coming to Lincoln Park.

The networking event, dinner and live music show is set for 5-10 p.m. March 14 at Wild Hare nightclub, 2610 N. Halsted St. Tickets cost $30 or $25 with proof of voter registration.

A Caribbean food buffet from 6- 7 p.m. will start the evening off.

There will be live performances from the The Get Up and The Get Downs, Gizzae Reggae Band, activist Ja'Mal Green, Shadow Master MC, Cojack, Awdazcate feat. Pugs Atomz, Dmnology and other special guests.

Local figures including Cook County State's Attorney candidate Kim Foxx and Jahmal Cole, founder of My Block, My Hood, My City, are scheduled to speak.

There will also be booths where people can find out where their polling place is and how to volunteer.

With the event scheduled for the night before the Illinois primary election, organizer Andre Vasquez Jr.'s "goal was to get people who typically are removed from the political process to come out, catch some live performances and listen to some local speakers and candidates," he said.
