CHICAGO — A 25-year-old woman was shot and wounded in Austin after getting into a car accident, police said.
At 8:55 p.m. Saturday, the woman was involved in a car accident in the 5200 block of West Congress Parkway and got into an argument with the other driver, who took out a gun and shot at her, said Officer Janel Sedevic, Chicago Police spokeswoman.
The woman was shot in her mouth and right arm. She was taken to Loretto Hospital, where she was in serious condition, Sedevic said.
No one is in custody in the shooting.
