CHICAGO — A multi-lot mansion in Lincoln Park has reportedly been listed for a record-breaking $50 million.

The 25,000-square-foot home at 1932 N. Burling St. features a wine-tasting room, a Louis XIII fireplace and a curved staircase with marble flooring, according to Crain's. It was built across seven lots.

The Parrillo mansion, built in 2008 at a cost of $40 million, went on the market Thursday at an asking price of $50 million.

Owner Richard Parrillo is chairman of United Automobile Insurance based in Florida.

According to Crain's, which reported the listing Wednesday, the record asking price in Chicago is $32 million in 2012 for the penthouse at Trump International Hotel & Tower, which eventually sold two years ago for $17 million.

Outside, the home — which sits on three-fifths of an acre — has fountains, manicured lawns and several seating areas, according to Crain's.

No home in the city has come close to the $50 million being asked for the Lincoln Park mansion. Last year, George Lucas and Mellody Hobson reportedly paid $18.75 million for a penthouse in Park Tower, the most a home has ever gone for in the city.

The Lincoln Park mansion actually cost its current owners more than $50 million: $12.5 million for the land and the rest on building the house and grounds, according to the Tribune.
