CHICAGO — Three people have been killed and seven wounded in shootings since Wednesday, police said.

A shooting in Auburn Gresham left a 26-year-old man dead and a 62-year-old woman injured, both shot in the head, on Wednesday afternoon.

A 25-year-old man was shot dead while driving on the Skyway with a woman, who was also wounded.

Earlier in the day, an 18-year-old man was shot dead in Garfield Park.

In nonfatal shootings:

• At 12:55 a.m. Thursday, a 31-year-old man was shot in Back of the Yards, said Officer Janel Sedevic, Chicago Police spokeswoman. The man was getting out of his car in the 4800 block of South Laflin Street when a Chevy SUV pulled up and someone inside shot at the man.

The man was hit in the left groin area and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was in "stable" condition, Sedevic said.

• At 5:12 p.m. Wednesday, a 22-year-old man was shot in Englewood, Sedevic said. The man was standing outside in the 6100 block of South Stewart Avenue when a car drove up and someone inside fired a gun at the man, hitting him in the neck and buttocks.

The man ran to the 6300 block of South Parnell Avenue and was then taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in "stable" condition, Sedevic said.

• At 1:50 p.m., a 22-year-old man was shot in Garfield Park, Sedevic said. The man was walking in the 300 block of South California Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain. He was shot in the buttocks.

A friend of the man drove him to Stroger Hospital, where he was in serious condition, Sedevic said.

The man was a documented gang member, police said.

• At 11:05 a.m., two men walked into South Shore Hospital with gunshot wounds, Sedevic said.

The men were shot during an attempted armed robbery in the 2000 block of East 95th Street in Calumet Heights, police said, and they are in custody with charges pending.

The men were transferred to Stroger Hospital, where they were in serious condition, Sedevic said.

One of them, who is 35 years old, was shot in the penis and left arm, Sedevic said. The other man, who is 24 years old, was shot in the abdomen and left arm.

No one is in custody in these shootings.
