By Kelly Bauer | January 4, 2016 8:38am

CHICAGO — New Year's weekend saw four people killed and 39 more wounded in shootings, police said.

Deandre Holiday, 24, was killed in a shooting just two hours into 2016, police said. Most recently, a 16-year-old was killed after a shooting in Woodlawn on Saturday.

Four people have been injured in shootings since Sunday:

• Most recently, at 7:57 p.m. Sunday, a 33-year-old man was shot in Grand Crossing, said Officer Jose Estrada, Chicago Police spokesman. The man was standing on the sidewalk in the 7000 block of South Wabash Avenue when he heard shots and realized he was shot.

The man was taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where he was in "stable" condition with a gunshot wound in his right arm, Estrada said.

• At 6:54 p.m., a 19-year-old man was injured in a shooting in Austin, Estrada said. The man was walking in the 900 block of North Lavergne Avenue when a man in a gray hoodie walked up to him, took out a gun and fired several shots.

The victim was hit in his left arm, left thigh and right ankle, and his chest was grazed by a bullet, Estrada said. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was in "stable" condition, Estrada said.

The victim is a documented gang member, police said, and the incident might be gang-related.

• At 6:20 p.m., a 21-year-old man was shot in Grand Boulevard, Estrada said. The man was walking on the sidewalk in the 400 block of East 46th Street when a passenger in a dark-colored SUV opened fire in the man's direction, hitting him in his right foot.

The man walked to a nearby store and police were called, Estrada said. The man was taken to University of Chicago Hospital in good condition.

• At 3 p.m., an 18-year-old woman was injured in a self-inflicted shooting in Riverdale, Estrada said. The woman was in the 13100 block of South Eberhart Avenue when she accidentally shot herself in her leg. She was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in "stable" condition, Estrada said.

Police found a gun and there have been no charges filed in the incident.

No one is in custody in these shootings.

Throughout the rest of the weekend:

• A 16-year-old boy was killed and 15 people wounded Saturday.

• A 32-year-old man was killed and six people were wounded Friday.

Two people were killed and 14 wounded Thursday.
