CHICAGO — A 21-year-old man was injured in a Sunday morning shooting in Humboldt Park, police said.

At 4:48 a.m., the man was seated in a parked car in the 3500 block of West Huron Street when two men with guns walked up to him and opened fire, said Officer Jose Estrada, Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was hit in his face and shoulder and taken to Norwegian American Hospital by friends, Estrada said. He was later transferred to Stroger Hospital, where he was in critical condition.

The man is a documented gang member, police said, and the shooting might be gang-related.

No one is in custody in the shooting.
