CHICAGO — Two men were fatally shot and another six men were wounded in gun violence across the city since Friday, according to police.

Of the eight shooting victims, four were confirmed as gang members, police said.

A man of unknown age was fatally shot in Gage Park Friday night, police said. A 23-year-old man was shot dead after getting in an argument in North Lawndale Friday afternoon, police said.

• Most recently, a 22-year-old man was shot in West Town late Friday, said Officer Ana Pacheco, Chicago Police spokeswoman. He was walking in the 2600 block of West Crystal Street at 10:30 p.m. when someone in a passing SUV opened fire, Pacheco said.

The man was shot in his left shoulder and buttocks and was taken to Stroger Hospital in "stable" condition, Pacheco said. He is a documented gang member, according to police.

• A 23-year-old man was shot during a West Garfield Park robbery Friday night, Pacheco said. The man was on the sidewalk in the 3900 block of West Flournoy Steet at 10 p.m. when two men attempted to rob him, Pacheco said.

He ran away, and the robbers opened fire, Pacheco said. The man was struck in both legs and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in "stable" condition, Pacheco said. The victim is a documented gang member, police said.

• A 20-year-old man was shot in Irving Park Friday night, Pacheco said. He was crossing the street in the 4200 block of North Kimball Avenue at 9:35 p.m. when someone in a dark-colored car opened fire, Pacheco said.

The man was grazed in the head and was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was listed in "stable" condition, Pacheco said. He is a documented gang member, according to police.

Two men were injured in a Near West Side shooting Friday night, police said.

• A 40-year-old man was injured in a Greater Grand Crossing shooting Friday afternoon, Pacheco said. The man was in the 2400 block of West 65th Street at 4:45 p.m. when he heard shots and felt pain, Pacheco said.

He was shot in the foot, and managed to get himself to Holy Cross Hospital in good condition, Pacheco said.
