CHICAGO — Two men have died and five more were wounded in gun violence since Friday, according to police.

A 38-year-old man was talking with his girlfriend when he was gunned down in Englewood early Saturday, police said.

A 24-year-old man was fatally shot while driving in Greater Grand Crossing Friday night, police said.

• The most recent, non-fatal shooting was at 4:15 a.m. in Humboldt Park, where a 20-year-old man was shot, said Officer Ana Pacheco, Chicago Police spokeswoman. The man was driving in the 3300 block of West LeMoyne Street when shots rang out from a passing car, Pacheco said.

The man was shot in his shoulder and was taken to Stroger Hospital in "stable" condition, Pacheco said. Police did not say the extent of his injuries.

• A 26-year-old man was shot in Chicago Lawn early Saturday, Pacheco said. He was standing in the 6500 block of South Maplewood Avenue at 1:35 a.m. when two men wearing black hoodies walked up and fired shots, Pacheco said.

The man was struck in his arm and was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in good condition, Pacheco said.

• A 20-year-old man was wounded in a Chicago Lawn shooting Friday afternoon, Pacheco said. The man was on the sidewalk in the 6600 block of South Claremont Avenue at 4:30 p.m. when a man emerged from a parked car, asked the victim a question and fired one round, Pacheco said.

The man was struck in his right leg and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in "stable" condition, Pacheco said.

• Another 20-year-old man was shot in West Pullman Friday, Pacheco said. The man was outside in the 11600 block of South Morgan Street at 2:15 p.m. when a man approached, opened fire and fled in an awaiting car, Pacheco said.

He was struck in his left thigh and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in fair condition, Pacheco said.

• A 23-year-old man was wounded in an Austin shooting Friday afternoon, Pacheco said. He was in the 800 block of North Central Avenue at 1:05 p.m. when someone inside a passing brown minivan opened fire, Pacheco said.

The man was shot in his leg and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in "stable" condition, Pacheco said. He was being uncooperative with police and is a documented gang member, police said.
