MOUNT GREENWOOD — Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School in Mount Greenwood will perform its all-school musical “Beauty and the Beast” from Nov. 19-22.

The theater program's annual all-school musical involves more than 300 students as part of the show both on stage, behind the curtain and in the orchestra pit.

Evening performances begin at 7:30 p.m. and will be shown from Nov. 19-21. A special matinee performance for senior citizens will be held at 12:15 p.m. Nov. 19 and an afternoon show for all audiences will be at 3 p.m. Nov. 22.

Tickets for the show in the school's auditorium at 3737 W. 99th St. cost $12 and are available online.

Mother McAuley's Fathers' Club will also host an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner before the Saturday evening performance. Tickets to the dinner cost $7 per adult and $5 per student. The meal is free for children five and younger.

The cast is rounded out with a group of dancers and a choral ensemble.

Many students also hold leadership positions that are integral to preparing for the production. Among those positions is the role of assistant director, held by Erin Ludwig ’16 (Country Club Hills) and Lindsey Wisniewski ’16 (Midway). Stage managers are Micaela Eaton ’16 (Nottingham Park), Meriah Woolery ’16 (Oak Lawn), Tim Gallagher ’16 (Brother Rice—Mount Greenwood), Gen Palabrica ’16 (Bridgeview), Brianna Costello ’16 (Mount Greenwood). The student leaders for the costume crew are Alexis Larkin ’16 (Mount Greenwood), Gabby Marback-Pehler ’16 (Chicago Ridge), and Allison Blough ’16 (Beverly).
