CHICAGO — A shooting in Rogers Park injured a 27-year-old man Tuesday night, according to police.

The man was in the alley in the 1500 block of West Jonquil Terrace at 8:55 p.m. when a man walked up and opened fire, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The 27-year-old man was shot in his ankle and was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston where he was listed in "stable" condition, Pacheco said.

The man is a documented gang member, police said.

No arrests have been made as the investigation is ongoing, Pacheco said.
