Man Sitting in Car Wounded in Englewood Shooting

ENGLEWOOD — A 21-year-old man was shot in the neck while sitting in the passenger seat of a car  in Englewood Wednesday night, police said.

Around 8:30 p.m., the man was sitting in the car in the 5600 block of South May Street when someone shot at him from outside, according to Officer Ron Gaines, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, then transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, police said.

No one is in custody, Gaines said.
