LINCOLN PARK — Lincoln Park is the most desirable neighborhood to live in the city.
At least that's according to a recent economic study conducted by financial company Charles Schwab.
While the North Side neighborhood beat out The Loop for city living, suburban Naperville came out on top overall. Here's the full list of the most desirable areas to live in the Chicagoland area:
1. Naperville: 16 percent
2. Lincoln Park: 12 percent
3. The Loop: 9 percent
4. River North: 7 percent
5. Schaumburg: 6 percent
6. Lakeview: 6 percent
7. Evanston: 4 percent
8. Other: 40 percent
The study used a sample size of 1,000 Chicago-area residents, who were asked to factor in growth of local economy, personal finances and wealth, issues impacting the area and the overall quality of life.
Notably, 65 percent of respondents said the reason they're not living in their preferred neighborhood is because it's too expensive, which means living in Lincoln Park is an unattainable dream for many.
