Man and Woman Injured in Rogers Park Shooting Friday, Police Say

CHICAGO — A 24-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman were hurt in a Rogers Park shooting late Friday, according to police.

The two were driving in a car in the 1600 block of West Juneway Terrace around 11:10 p.m. Friday when a group on foot shot at the car, according to Officer Ana Pacheco, Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The shooting happened just south of Calvary Cemetery.

The man was hit in his right side and was taken to St. Francis Hospital in critical condition, Pacheco said. The woman was shot in her left hand and was taken to St. Francis Hospital in stable condition.

No arrests have been made, Pacheco said.
